The Timeless Trench
Okay, so the marvellously irrefutable Style.com have realised that the trench is always ‘in’, noting that the fash-pack revel in the exclamation that ‘the trench coat has returned’. Maybe its time for the publishing industry to realise what we’ve all thought since 1850- trench coats are timeless and classic, being one of those staples that every man and every woman’s wardrobe should never be without.
For Spring 2010, the trench is presented in a distinctly feminine manner, with puffed sleeves and romantic buttons and fastenings giving the garments a delightful edge, whilst the battle between sorbet, dusty and striking colour rages on. Here are just a few:
