Who is James Andrew Cunningham?

DKNY (RTW PF10)

DKNY offered a swipe into PF10 nodding back to the nautical stuff we’ve seen in the SS10 collections; a smart move to ensure seamlessness through the seasons. I’m loving the anchor vest and the jackets- overall a smart, pristine collection with great pieces that are strong, practical and resilient.

I love those blue trousers in the second shot and the shorts are fabulous! I would if I could….

J. Mendel (RTW PF10)

The Pre-Fall offering from J. Mendel contrasted with the more delicate colours of the designer’s SS10 and RST10 collections, with striking, bolder shades taking centre-stage this season. Blacks, reds and golds were used to create an exciting mix of what Style.com compare to “a city after sunrise”.

Fur is a notable touch to the collection, as was leather, to grand effect. The combination of the two animal fabric added a flash of luxury, but in a calm and understated way through clever use of dark colours. A fabulous collection, concur?

I really like the tights, too! Kudos.

Jason Wu (RTW PF10)

Style.com reflects that the clothes in Jason Wu’s Pre-Fall serving were an important step forward for the designer- I agree; the artist has challenged himself in a number of ways, which have all paid off. The trends continue with this collection- military wear and dark colours feature heavily, as do body-con cocktail dresses and prints- all to great effect.

Bravo!

Rag & Bone (RTW PF10)

Rag & Bone present a nice, minimal collection for Pre-Fall. The dark, monochromatic tones channel the distinguished nature of the season; moving forward from their Spring/Summer collection in a somewhat compelling way. I’m looking forward to seeing their AW10 stuff, but in the meantime here’s Pre-Fall:

I’m loving prints; even though I’m not necessarily publishing the photographs, prints are featuring heavily in PF10 collections- so start stocking up!

Pringle of Scotland (RTW PF10)

Pringle of Scotland created a smart, naturally stylish collection for Pre-Fall, with the colours contrasting nicely with their Spring/Summer set. Lighter shades were mixed with bureaucratic blues and blacks to create a neat and well-designed submission of outfits, which all have a timeless quality. My favourite? The cropped coat with that beautiful collar. Here are the best:

PS: Those trousers are fabulous. Another A1-hit from Pringle!
