Wear Now, SS10: Trench Coat
Aah, the trench. Classic and deeply reliable, the military-inspired coat, entwined into the history of traditional houses of Aquascutum and Thomas Burberry, has been re-vitalised for Spring. Whether you like the ruched sleeves of Burberry Prorsum or the ‘no sleeves rule’ at Celine, it’s up to you- the catwalk is offering some excellent choices in the Spring collections. The message is clear, though: choose either pale greys, creams or tans, or indeed combat greens, and you’ll be set to go.
The designers have produced great stuff for Spring/Summer, meaning that there’s a genuine variety for the consumer. Some of the best coats were available from- as always- Burberry Prorsum, as well as Milly and 3.1 Philip Lim.
